1. About these terms

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Separate terms apply to consulting work: every engagement is entered into through a written agreement, proposal or statement of work signed by both parties, and that document prevails over anything on this website.

2. What JASS International does

JASS International provides advisory and consulting services in senior living, wellness and hospitality: market and feasibility studies, concept and brand development, design and wellness programming, capital introductions, pre-opening planning and operational advisory. We are advisers, not operators, and nothing on this website is an offer to provide services in any particular country.

3. Information on this website

Articles, figures and viewpoints published here, including the Longevity Letters and the Journal, are provided for general information. They do not constitute investment, legal, tax, medical or regulatory advice, and they are not a recommendation to buy, develop or operate any asset. You should take your own professional advice before acting on anything you read here.

We work carefully, but we do not promise that the site is complete, current or free of error, and figures such as market sizes are drawn from third-party sources we believe to be reliable.

4. Engagements

A consulting engagement begins only when both parties sign a written agreement covering scope, fees, timetable and responsibilities. Unless that document says otherwise: each party bears its own costs until an agreement is signed; proposals we issue are confidential and valid for the period stated in them; and we may decline any engagement, in any market, at our discretion.

5. Intellectual property

The name JASS International, the site's design, its text and imagery, and our methodologies and frameworks are protected. You may read, quote and share reasonable extracts with attribution. You may not reproduce the site or its content commercially, or use our name or marks, without written permission.

Ownership of deliverables created for a client, including concepts, studies and plans, is agreed in the written engagement documents for that project.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse this website: no attempts to breach its security, no scraping or automated copying that degrades the service, no misrepresentation of your identity or affiliation, and no use of the site in any way that violates applicable law.

7. Third-party links

Pages on this site may link to third-party websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their own terms and privacy practices.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The website is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JASS International is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Liability for consulting services is defined in the written agreement for the relevant engagement.

9. Governing law and disputes

These website terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the JASS International entity you are dealing with is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Where mandatory consumer protection law in your country gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights continue to apply. We would always seek to resolve any disagreement in conversation first, and courts or arbitral bodies in the governing jurisdiction may otherwise hear the matter.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
